Basic Appearance: Lin is literally a carbon copy of Rin Kagamine, though darker in appearance. Her black hair is cut short and is almost always tied back in a bow - white for her 'lighter' moods, and dark for any other occasion. Usually wears a dark skirt, vest and leggings with belts hung low on her hips. Lin does, however, enjoy dressing up like her lighter counterpart whenever she plans on watching Len's show or sneaks back to grace him with her presence. Her blacks eyes are often narrowed in laughter or wrath, either of which is a frightening mood.
Personality: In a word, controlling. Lin is just as emotionally strong as her 'sister', but unlike Rin, Lin seems to have none of the softer emotions that demand her loyalty and protection for those she might care about. In truth, Lin cares only for her needs and wants and is very controlling. She is much like a petulant child, forever obsessing over what she wants or can't have. Lin's current obsession with Len can almost be described as a sick infatuation or incestuous fantasy- however much she'd deny it.
However much Lin seems to care, she appears perfectly content to let the object of her 'tender affections' rot in circus where he can't escape her.
Enemies: Those who seek to shut down the circus and end her fun. Rin Kagamine.
Allies: Claims Len as hers, her brother Ren Haine.
Family: Ren Haine. Tauntingly refers to Len Kagamine as her brother as well, but shuns Rin's existence.
Role: Frequents the circus as a customer, but is fully aware of what happens to the cast. Sometimes scouts out prospects for new acts and tempts children to run away and join the circus.
History: No one is quite sure how the Haine twins came into existence. Popular rumor is that they are a pair of demonic shades, the dark emotions that were never instilled in the Kagamine twins.
One thing is for sure though - without affections for anything other than themselves, the ruthless pair carved out a steady income with odd jobs, most involving barely- or completely illegal actions. Ren was drawn to the more financial and manipulative jobs, letting others do the dirty work for him.
Lin liked more... Hands-on jobs. Jobs where she could create anguish and terror with her own petite hands.
When Lin found the Dark Woods Circus, it was a perfect fit. She could watch and create all kinds of pain while barely getting dirty - and on top of that, she could ruin children's lives and get paid, too!
It only got better when she found out that Len was an attraction...
Now hardly a week will pass without her taking a trip to the Catacombs to see her beloved blond twin, ever trying to convince him to embrace his new life so that he could be allowed out to help her. To be hers.

Even better than his hope was the almost teary narrowing of his eyes as she stepped out of the shadows and into the dim lighting of a single lightbulb. Her lower register offered a low, almost sultry lilt to her words.
