Personality:Lydia is a moody, angst-ridden teenage Goth who feels isolated in the world. Her father and step-mother do not take anything she says seriously and often ignore her for their own selfish pursuits. Lydia loves writing poetry, photography and loves anything supernatural and paranormal
Enemies:Beetlejuice(at first), Dr. Falcier, Morgan Le Fay.
Allies:Beetlejuice(later), Jim Hawkins, John Silver, other protesters.
Family: Delia Deetz (step-mother) Charles Deetz (father)
Role: Customer and later on when she gets to know the cast better she'll become a protester and activist.
History: Lydia had always been a strange little girl from the beginning. Preferring black over pink and keeping almost entirely to herself and was obsessed with anything to do with ghosts. This may have had to do with growing up without a mother, when she was very young Lydia read you could contact the dead or possibly bring the dead back to life. With that Lydia, had been obsessed with the dead and spent as much as her time researching everything she could with death and the afterlife.
She didn't see her first ghosts however until she and her father and stepmother (whom Lydia loathed) moved into the house of a deceased couple, Barbra and Adam Maitland. They were trying to scare them away mostly due to her stepmothers "artistic" changes to their house. But Lydia was far, far to strange to be affected by them. Instead she made friends with the ghost couple. And even considered killing herself so that she could be with them forever, as kind of an adopted daughter.
However the a freelance "bio-exorcist" ghost, to scare away the Deetzes; but Betelgeuse becomes more interested in marrying Lydia so that he can re-enter the land of the living. And it takes the combined efforts of Lydia and Maitlands to finally banish Beetlejuice back to the afterlife.
With balance restored in the household Lydia had a relatively happy life, thriving under the almost parental attention of Adam and Barbra. She excelled in her studies and won a scholarship for her twenty page paper on the similarities in exorcisms and ghosts through out history.
Now she has taken the first steps into the adult world. Working and spending her summer vacation in the town not far from the school she will be attending in the fall. And it just so happens there is a rather strange and unusual circus located in the woods outside of the town.

Lydia walked around the circus grounds taking photo's of anything interesting. Which was a lot. There were gigantic dogs, a winged lion, an actual vampiress with real bat wings! And best of all in Lydia's opinion no one to tell her not to go there or that she was weird for liking it!
Then she saw something through her leans, she narrowed her eyes a bit trying to figure out what about that barker seemed familiar. Then he turned around and she screamed. Instantly getting his attention.
"Hey babe!" The ghost smiled showing his horrid teeth.
